Leitfaden der Fachstelle Sport des Kantons Zürich für die Zürcher Gemeinden 

Turnhallen sind wichtige Orte für Sport und Bewegung. Neben dem Schul- und Vereinssport stehen die Hallen oft auch anderen Institutionen und Gruppierungen zur Verfügung. In vielen Gemeinden sind die Turnhallen jedoch abends, an Wochenenden und in den Ferien für Vereine und andere Nutzer nicht so zugänglich, wie es die Bedürfnisse erfordern. Vor dem Hintergrund einer Veränderung im Sportverhalten der Bevölkerung, veränderter Anforderungen der Sportvereine und einer anzustrebenden Ausweitung der Nutzung auf freie Gruppen besteht vielerorts Handlungsbedarf in der Bereitstellung von Turnhallen.

Eine Optimierung der Hallenbenutzung bedingt mehr Koordination unter den bestehenden Benutzern und den entsprechenden Gemeindestellen. Bei einer Ausweitung der Nutzung müssen zudem Modelle der Verantwortlichkeit zur Entlastung der Hauswarte gefunden werden.

Das vorliegende Dokument zeigt Möglichkeiten für die vermehrte Öffnung von Turnhallen auf und präsentiert Beispiele aus der Praxis die helfen, die 'Offene Halle' in der Gemeinde umzusetzen.
